    What you May Have Missed

    LaFleur:
    • Lost finally may have given us an answer to the most asked question: what happened to the four-toed statue? Miles noticed this giant statue, and based on its proximity to the water, this is almost certainly the same four-toed statue from the end of season 2.
    • The giant statue appears to be Horus, an Egyptian god who represents power. It's probably no coincidence that his name is a homophone for Horace Goodspeed.
    • Paul's necklace includes an ankh, an ancient Egyptian symbol that can also be seen in the hands of Horus, the four-toed statue.
    • Make of this what you will, but in Egyptian myth, Horus' main rival was a god named Seth. In The Bible, Seth is the father of Enos. And Enos was the pseudonym used by Miles.
    • Rosie, Phil's girlfriend in the DHARMA Initiative, wears a Geronimo Jackson shirt.
    • In 1974, there was a truce between DHARMA and the Hostiles. We know that when Ben Linus first came to the Island, the Hostiles attacked the barracks. So when was the truce signed?
    • Horace wonders if three years is enough time to get over someone. This seems strange given what we know. When Ben came to the Island some time in the early 1970s, Horace was still with Olivia, his wife and the teacher in DHARMA. So by 1977 when Horace is having a child with Amy, he could only have been separated from his own wife for no more than five or six years.
    • Sawyer's tale about how he came to be on the Island features details from other Island stories. The notion of being caught in a storm after leaving Tahiti is exactly what happened to Rousseau's science team. Similarly, searching for the Black Rock was the same cover story used by the Christiane 1, Widmore's ship that discovered the fake Oceanic 815 wreckage. Of course, Sawyer had no way of knowing that.
    • Daniel thought this little red-headed girl was Charlotte. Clearly he doesn't understand time. This scene took place in 1974, but according to her bio, Charlotte wasn't born until July 2, 1979. What makes it more strange is for Daniel to have told Charlotte not to come to the Island, he would still have to be there well into the 80s.
